HDVS has limited space at the business office and is unable to accept all donations directly.

In partnership with Lots 4 Tots Plus the Clothing Closet, 3008 Broadway, Eureka, your clothing donations will help support our clients. Please contact Lots 4 Tots Plus the Clothing Closet- (707) 445-3477prior to bringing in your donations, as there is a limit on the number of bags they can accept at one time.

HDVS will be given credit for your donation on our account. This will enable clients to shop through the entire store.

HDVS will accept your used cell phone for use by our clients. Cell phones should be cleared of all personal information and contact numbers, check your owners manual on how to do this.

When donating a cell phone, please include the charging system with the donation.

These cell phones will be provided to clients, giving them a secure means communicating during their transition to a safe environment.

Jennifer Alyson Bushnell was tragically taken on February 20, 2007, in Flag City, California, at the age of 29. Because of her lifelong love of animals HDVS has established the Jennifer Bushnell Memorial Fund. This fund will provide safe boarding for a client's dog or cat while they are in emergency shelter.

Shop the North Coast Co-op

Through the Register Donation Program, local nonprofit organizations, that provide services in Humboldt County, are eligible to apply to be approved for the Register Donation Program. By applying and being approved to participate, groups allow the Co-op to add 1% to a shopper's grocery bill. The funds collected are held for each specific group with donations distributed at least twice in the program year.

The cashier will enter that number into the register and 1% will automatically be added to the shopper's transaction. All 1% donations will be added to each group's 1% account and 100% of those funds will be released.

eScrip has created a system that rewards customer loyalty by contributing a percentage of purchases made by participating families to  school or youth based groups. Parents, teachers, friends and families are encouraged to register their grocery club cards, and existing credit/debit cards as supporters.  A percentage of all purchases made at eScrip merchants will be given back to the designated school or group.
